Pacific Industrial Company is proud to be part of the construction of the iconic New Museum in WA. In May 2018, Pacific Industrial Company was successful in winning the Structural Steel Supply and Install package for the New Museum Project.
The project is underway and making great progress towards completion with all structural steel trusses being fabricated at our workshop in 33,000m2 Naval Base facility; it comprises of over 10,000 individual pieces of steelwork at a total of 1,600 tonnes. At any one time, 60 people are working full time. Trusses are fabricated & assembled in our facility and then transported to site for installation by our onsite team.
“We preassemble the fabricated trusses in our Naval Base workshop, ensuring that all steelwork is dimensional sound before painting & transport to site,” said Russell Batcock, General Manager of Pacific Industrial Company.
These steel trusses will support the upper levels of the New Museum, which will later form the cantilevered gallery that floats over the top heritage-listed building.
Today tonight recently visited our facilities to feature this story.
