Merlin Diamond Mine Project       Client Ashton Mining I Location 1000km South East of Darwin NT   Completion 1999       Merlin Diamond Mine Scope included the total construction of the new Merlin Diamond Mine process plant from site clearing through civil works, structural mechanical piping works, electrical works and commissioning. Significant challenges were overcome during the fast track project with design being undertaken in South Africa, fabrication at PIC's workshops at Naval Base and transported 4,500 km to the site with on-site construction proceeding through the wet season. All works were completed on schedule and without incident, allowing the client to mine and process diamonds within the first month of plant operation. back to projects list >>
