Subsea isolation valve (SSIV)
Multi disciplined contract for the supply, fabrication, pipe spooling, surface treatment, trial assembly, hydro testing and function testing of the SSIV and later dismantling for load out and delivery to Port of Fremantle.
Welding demanded special low temperature destructive mechanical testing and trial assembly took place 2.5° from horizontal to simulate worst possible ocean floor conditions.
Main isolation valves and actuators weighing 45 tonnes each were "free supplied" for incorporation into the works. All work was carried out to the highest standards of safety and quality. The project was completed on time and on budget.
